Chris Scheppmann Named Finalist for San Diego Business Journal’s 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40 Award
EnSight Technologies announced the company’s co-founder and managing partner, Chris Scheppmann, has been named a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40 award. This prestigious award honors young business leaders and innovators “who are making waves, creating impact, and leaving a positive mark on the San Diego Community.” Award winners will be announced in the August issue of the San Diego Business Journal.
“I’m honored to be named a finalist for this prestigious award,” said Scheppmann. “My motivation is to create companies that are disruptive while providing meaningful value to their customers. To be considered among the top 40 business leaders under 40 in San Diego is certainly a highlight of my career thus far. I’m humbled and excited to be on the list of this year’s finalists.”
Scheppmann is also the President and second-generation owner-operator of Access Professional Systems, Inc. (APS); a 40-year old industry leader designing, installing, and servicing advanced access systems. APS originally launched the company as a residential garage door installer. Over the years, APS evolved into an organization providing gate automation, access control, video surveillance, parking automation systems.
Chris Scheppmann was nominated for the award for being a visionary who is improving parking by developing and marketing an affordable, simple to use, and accurate parking occupancy management, and guidance solutions. Through Scheppmann’s vision, EnSight Technologies was born, and highly accurate guidance technology finally became financially attainable for all parking operators and asset owners. EnSight’s technology platform leverages vision systems driven by it’s purpose built machine learning models, that allows the system to constantly evolve and get smarter, more accurate over time.
Although EnSight Technologies was founded just two years ago, its parking guidance technology can already be found in parking facilities throughout San Diego and the surrounding communities. At a time when cities across the United States are getting ready to implement smart city technologies to improve transportation and mobility, EnSight’s introduction of affordable, simple to use, and scalable parking guidance technology is particularly timely.
