Park City, UT (August 26, 2020) — EnSight Technologies announced today that its smart, simple, and scalable parking guidance and occupancy management technology has been installed at the Summit County, Utah Park & Ride, which provides parking and bus service to the Park City Mountain Ski Resort, commuter parking, and event parking for the local school and church across the street from the lot. Park City Mountain is the largest ski resort in the United States, with 7,300 acres, 341 trails, 41 lifts, 7 terrain parks, one super pipe, one mini pipe, and ski-in-ski-out access to historic Main Street.

EnSight Technology’s intelligent vehicle detection software was installed and leverages existing cameras that visualize each of the park & ride’s three main entry/exit points. The system monitors when vehicles enter and exit the facility and transmits the occupancy information via a web-based API to a roadway sign located 2 miles up highway 80. The roadway sign provides space availability and the next available bus to downtown Park City to inbound traffic visiting the area of the area.

All of the parking occupancy information is accessible by the county from EnSight’s EnSightful Cloud Dashboard to monitor real-time occupancy and trend historical parking utilization.

“The system provides all of the information visitors need to conveniently park, while allowing the county to monitor the utilization of their parking asset” said Scheppmann.
