Picture this: You’ve driven for hours with your family to visit Disneyland. Or perhaps you’ve traveled a far distance to attend a conference at the Anaheim Convention Center. You’re tired and hungry and all you want is to get into your hotel room and take a break before hitting the park or the conference floor. The last thing you need is to have wander throughout the hotel garage searching for a parking space.
The Westin Anaheim Resort knows that, for many of their guests, parking is the first thing they experience at their property and that the initial parking experience sets the tone for guests’ entire stay. That why they turned to EnSight Technologies and our smart, simple, and scalable parking guidance and occupancy management technology to assure that that initial experience is convenient and pleasant.
Solution: EnSight Technology’s Smart Parking Guidance Technology
EnSight’s industry-leading parking guidance technology guides parkers to the best available parking spaces in the Westin’s 6 level garage, improving the parking experience at the Four-Diamond Property, which is located across from Disneyland® Resort. Our intelligent camera-based solution is installed on each of the garage’s levels to monitor the occupancy of parking spaces. The system records occupancy information and transmits that information in real time to smart parking signs at the garage entrance, as well as individual signs located on each floor, to let parkers know how many spaces are available on each level at that moment. The intuitive system directs guests to available parking spaces so they can quickly and conveniently park their vehicles and get on with their day.
The installation of EnSight’s parking guidance technology was part of a comprehensive parking technology strategy that also included the installation of five lanes of TIBA revenue control equipment to manage guest parking and event parking for the nearby Anaheim Convention Center. The TIBA equipment is integrated with the hotel Property Management System, allowing hotel guests to use their room keys to enter and exit the parking garage. Specialists from Access Professional Systems installed both the EnSight parking guidance system and the TIBA access and revenue control equipment, assuring a seamless parking experience for hotel guests and convention attendees.
